It has been 10 years since I celebrated Earth Day with my son Vince (then a seventh grader) by wrapping up our week-long rally around Michigan promoting energy efficient vehicles to middle school students.

The 2003 Great Lakes Energy Efficient MotorRally (GLEEM) was a fun filled, father and son journey to three dozen middle school classrooms with a message and learning tools about hybrids, flex-fuels, and green transportation.

My son is now in his twenties and actively reduces the automotive waste stream (refurbishes classic cars and trucks!

Meanwhile I continue promoting energy efficiency and green technology with ENERFICIENCY now in its 15th year!

Perhaps a GLEEM2014 with fathers and sons rallying around the Great Lakes would be funQ! What do you think?
